Travel Topics

Some of these would be good in a forum:

  1. To fly or to drive

  2. How and when to cruise

  3. Break down the hotel price - when to go cheap

  4. Destinations (NYC, Minneapolis, Tahoe, etc.)

  5. Deals for teachers and/or military

Grocery Tips

One day a week could be a grocery tip. The email or post would mostly be advice but it could contain 1-3 hot buy items at local stores. We could also advertise another great deal at the bottom with something like "what to get with this weeks grocery savings." We could even go further and assign a genre for each day of the week: grocery, GNO, date night, family fun, around the house, seasonal, etc.

Some ideas for grocery topics:

  1. Know when to say when (100 bottles of mustard)

  2. Decide what you're going to do and commit

  3. Plan meals ahead of time and go to the store with a list

  4. Can you save without coupons?

  5. Rebates on grocery and gas

  6. Baby products

  7. Buy stuff so you can pack lunches when you go out with your kids

  8. Learn the basic prices so you know what's a good price - set limits for yourself (ie. I won't pay more than 1.00 for cereal)

  9. If you are going to coupon shop, pick 1-3 stores to follow the sales so you don't get overwhelmed.

  10. When to buy in bulk

  11. Easy ways to handle/file/keep track of coupons

Mother's Day

Mother's Day is tricky. Moms are arguably the most influential people in our lives. They brought us into this world, changed our diapers, wiped our noses, sang us to sleep, helped with homework, sacrificed endlessly, and in a big way shaped who we are today. There's no denying that Mom warrents something good on Mother's Day. But how do you find the perfect gift that says "thank you" and "I love you" in just the right way for the person that seems to already have everything?

Well, start by remembering that moms are sentimental.

So.... Customize. Personalize.

Here are some can't-miss deals to help do just that:

  1. There is a new photo website, Paper Coterie, with calendars, books and more that is offering $40 off a $40 purchase to celebrate their grand opening. Don't miss this deal at https://papercoterie.com/.

  2. Edible Arrangements features arrangements of chocolate-dipped fresh fruit that are just as beautiful as they are tasty. These are gorgeous and won't let you down! To make them even sweeter, Savvi members save $5 off any purchase! Visit http://www.ediblearrangements.com/ to find the arrangement that best suits your mom.

  3. Tuck a gift card to your mom's favorite store into a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from ftd.com (and save an additional 15% with your savvi membership off arrangements that are already discounted up to 25%) or 1-800-flowers.com (where you'll save 20% with your membership).

  4. No one does personalization better than Personal Creations or Red Envelope. That is at the very heart of each of their products. Browse 100s of choices and don't forget to check out the sale and clearance sections. Plus, you save 15% their already low prices with your Savvi membreship.

Remember - a deal is only a deal if it works for you (and your mom!). Find the deal that will mean the most to your mom!! Happy Shopping!
